FIREFIGHTERS from Ellesmere assisted with a road traffic collision near the town on Friday evening.
At 8.15 on Friday, August 21, emergency services received a call reporting that an RTC had taken place on the A528 outside Cockshutt towards Ellesmere.
Fire crews from Ellesmere, Baschurch and Wellington were dispatched to deal with the incident, along with the rescue tender. An operations officer was also in attendance.
Also at the scene of the incident were the land ambulance and West Mercia Police.
No one was trapped in the incident, with firefighters leaving the scene at around 8.30, although the road remained closed for some time afterwards.
