Church reopening for private prayer
ST JAMES church in Audlem will reopen this Saturday, August 8, between 10am and 12 noon for those who would like to take the opportunity for private prayer.
The entrance and exit will be via the west door up the slope.
There will be someone in attendance and visitors will be asked to sanitise their hands on arrival.
To minimise any risks the main part of the church will not be open but a prayer station has been put at the rear of the church to use.
The church wardens are only be able to let in one person or a couple at a time so they ask for patience as they look at further ways of reopening the church.
The church also recently said goodbye to Reverend Gary Windon.
At a Zoom service on Sunday evening, more than 60 people gathered virtually when the Cheshire South Methodist Circuit and in particular the Churches of Audlem, Hankelow, Hatherton, and Woore said farewell to Rev Windon, and thanked him for his ministry.
Bible readings and messages from each church were read by church members as Rev Windon moves to pastures new.
