THE owner of a Whitchurch gym says it has been a 'good time' moving to a new premises.

Daniel Mee, who runs Mee-Fit on the Waymills Industrial Estate, recently moved to a new building, a move complicated by the Covid-19 lockdown.

Although the lockdown meant the gym could not open to the public, Daniel and his team have been holding outdoor sessions until lockdown restrictions were eased.

"We had our reopening but throughout lockdown," said Daniel. "We've actually moved to a much bigger facility to improve our offering.

"We've now moved onto Digital Court so we've increased our size by 7.5 times.

"The idea behind it was increasing our availability as in our last place we were limited by our size.

"We we've been looking for a long time for somewhere appropriate as they either weren't big enough or were in a residential area and the council were concerned about the noise

"Throughout the lockdown we did a lot to keep people engaged.

"We've done sessions over Zoom and outdoor session as soon as we could. But as soon as we could we have got people back in the gym.

"A lot of out clients have moved over, it's definitely been a good time since reopening."
