FIREFIGHTERS in Wem were let off the lead on Sunday to rescue a dog which had become stuck up a fallen tree.
One crew from the town was sent to the scene in Grinhshill at around 8.30am, where the dog was found on the bark of the tree.
Firefighters used a nine to 10 metre ladder to give the dog chance to come down, which it duly did around 30 minutes later.
