A PAIR of nesting barn owlets have been discovered taking up residency at Cheshire Wildlife Trust's Malpas headquarters.

The two baby owls were discovered earlier in June in one of Bickley Hall Farm's barn owl boxes by a local barn owl monitoring group.

A spokesman for Cheshire Wildlife Trust said they were delighted by the discovery.

"We’re over the moon to have discovered two barn owlets in one of our barn owl boxes at Bickley Hall Farm last week," they said.

"This gorgeous pair were ringed by Broxton Barn Owl Group who monitor the boxes for us each year.

"Our reserves are great places for such wonderful wildlife thanks to your support.

"We couldn’t provide the habitat for barn owls without you."
