THE vicar of Audlem has said thank you to her community ahead of her move to Hucknall in Nottinghamshire.

Having previously working as a teacher in Buckinghamshire, Revd Helen Chantry has been in her role in Audlem for more than 15 years.

Rev Chantry has taken up a new position as the Vicar of Hucknall, in Nottinghamshire, and will take up her new role at the end of June.

Before the move, Rev Helen thanked her community for their generosity.

She said: "Thanks to all those from the village who contributed to my leaving gift, I'm overwhelmed by your generosity.

"I've felt very privileged to be part of the community and to get to know so many lovely people.

"To be part of some people's lives at the highest and lowest points as well as all the conversations and exchange of greetings with while walking Fin.

"I will miss you."
