A FOOTBALLER and coach from Malpas has achieved their career aspiration of securing a role at a Football League club.
Daniel Lloyd plays for Malpas FC but also works for League One side Rochdale AFC as Under-15s coach for the team's academy.
He recently passed his Education and Training degree to attain Qualified Teacher Status, and in doing so will now move up to become Rochdale academy's head of education, working with the next generation of players.
Speaking of the achievement, Daniel said all the work put in over the last two years has been worth it.
"The last two years have been full of late nights at uni, observations, and cramming in dissertations whenever I had a spare few hours," he said.
"Last week I found out I had passed the degree I needed for my new role. Today it definitely felt worth it.
"From July 1 I will be Rochdale AFC's head of education, along with assisting the youth team and their apprenticeship standards."
