The parents of an Ellesmere boy who is raising funds to buy bottles of hand creams to donate him have praised his attitude.

Kian Lockwood, 10, has been delivering bottles of hand cream to medical facilities such as Penley Hospital, staff at Gobowen's Orthopaedic as well as carers around Ellesmere.

Kian was able to raise money for the creams by taking collections from his step-father Kerry Rowlands's trip around town as Dilly the Dinosaur, as well as making and selling rainbow badges.

Kerry admitted the family were very proud of Kian.

"He wanted to do something when he saw Captain Tom Moore," he said.

"When were out walking as Dilly the Dinosaur, he collected money and he's also been making and selling rainbow badges for a £1.

"He learned how to sew, which is a life skill, and he's raised £300 – I've bought 300 bottles of hand cream.

"We really are so proud of him."
