Damaged trees are on the agenda

MALPAS Parish Council will meet online this month, to go over a busy agenda.

First, councillors will decide whether or not to record the public section of the meeting which is held at the beginning.

Next on the agenda, they will hear the latest police report, before moving on to discuss the accounts, including additional hours worked by the clerk.

Planning is also up for discussion, with the matter of removing trees up for debate.

At St Joseph’s College in Tilston Road, a common ash has fallen because extensive decay in the trunk. While falling it struck tree a sycamore, and a house and adjacent scaffolding. The sycamore was heavily struck as it fell and is leaning towards the dwelling and needs removing on safety grounds.

Councillors will then receive a report on the Recreation Ground before agreeing to the purchase of planters, to improve the appearance of the village.

A post-coronavirus action plan is also set to be discussed by councillors.
