FIREFIGHTERS from Malpas and Whitchurch helped tackled a cooker fire on Sunday.
The two services received the report of a fire at around 3pm, on Sunday, May 4, at an address in Ashford Close in Hampton Heath.
On arrival the crews discovered a fire involving a cooker.
Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the fire and isolated the electricity in the property.
The cooker was then moved outside and the area was checked with a thermal imaging camera.
Natural ventilation was used to clear the smoke from the kitchen.
Firefighters were on scene until 3.20pm.
