AN INQUEST has been opened into the death of a chef who collapsed at his friend's home in Wem.
Razaq Mahmood, 47 and from Wellington, visited his friend's home in Cordwell Park in Wem on December 22, 2019.
Shortly before 1am the following day, Mr Mahmood was putting on his coat when he collapsed.
His breathing was difficult and he was unresponsive, so an ambulance was called.
While the ambulance arrived, CPR was provided, but despite this, Mr Mahmood died shortly after 1am.
The inquest has been adjourned until July 29.
