INTERNET providers Sky has apologised for leaving many areas of the West Midlands, including Whitchurch, without broadband for much of Tuesday.
At around 1.30pm on Tuesday, April 28, Sky customers, including those using other sub-companies, found themselves without internet, television or landline connections.
It was not until around 5pm that the issue was identified, which involved a fibre cable accidentally being cut, although the reason for the cable being cut is still being investigated.
By 7pm engineers had set to work fixing the cable, with it being confirmed that repairs would take place through much of the night at 10pm.
The issue was finally resolved just after 7am the following day, with a spokesman for the company apologising for the inconvenience.
