In the new national online chess league, Malpas and Oswestry were due to have some interesting games as the Herald went to press yesterday (Tuesday).

Malpas are hoping for the return of Indian GrandMaster Das Neelotpal, on two, with Spanish Master Antonio Ruperez Benito on three and International Master Paul Littlewood on four releasing David Friedgood for action in Division Two for Higgie’s Heroes who also have a tough match against Chessable White Rose 2. The also have a team in Division Five, Wirral League Wanderers, their opponents are confirmed.
