FIREFIGHTERS from two towns responded to a kitchen fire in Wem on Saturday.
Two crews, from Wem and Prees respectively, responded to the fire at 7.48pm on Saturday, April 18, which was at a property at Vaughan Place in Station Road.
The fire, which involved a grill pan in the kitchen, was out on arrival.
Crews on the scene helped ventilate the building, before leaving shortly after 8pm.
Meanwhile, crews from Ellesmere also responded to a fire on Saturday evening.
The incident, involving a small stack of newspapers, was reported just before 8pm, in Wharf Road.
The fire was out on arrival, and firefighters left the scene 10 minutes later, with no action required.
