WHAT has life been like for you during lockdown?

The Whitchurch Herald wants to hear from its readers about how you have been coping during these unprecedented times.

Whatever your age, we want you to get involved.

Send us your pictures, your drawings, your thoughts, try and explain to future generations what life has been like these past few weeks.

We want our readers in Whitchurch, Wem and Malpas, plus all the villages around us, to get onboard and tell us how their lives have changed.

We will endeavour to print every response and picture in the paper and online.

Susan Perry, Group Editor of The Herald said: "These uncertain times have shown us what fantastic community spirit there is out there.

"We have featured so many amazing stories of how people are adapting and helping others in these difficult times.

"Please send us your pictures, drawings, thoughts, poems. You could even write to your future self and explain what life has been like and what changes there have been.

"Please send us all your positive stories and pictures but also tell us about the hard times and challenges you have faced too.

"Let's hear all your stories so we can share them with future generations.

"How have you been beating the boredom? Are you teaching your children at home? How are you coping without seeing family and friends?

"We want as many people as possible to get involved and help record a truly significant part of our history."

North East Wales Archive Service is also running a campaign for residents to record the unprecedented period of history and it is hoped that their contributors will share their contributions with readers too.

The service has also launched a campaign for children to write a letter to ‘future children’ to explain how the current lockdown has changed their lives.
