FIREFIGHTERS tackled a fire in the open in Wem on Wednesday evening.
The fire was reported shortly before 8pm, along a stretch of undergrowth in Mill Street.
One crew was mobilised from Wem to tackle the fire, which was extinguished by the firefighters using buckets of water.
The crew left the scene around 15 minutes later.
