A HOME care supplier in Wem has been inundated with goods after putting out an appeal for donations.

Wishing Well Home Care, who provide care and support to the elderly and vulnerable people, have been receiving supplies for hampers, which they intend to deliver to their clients affected by the lockdown.

Various members of the community have been involved in making donations, including Dedman Stores and the Co-op.

Business owner Sue Perry thanked the community for their generosity in making the donations.

"I am overwhelmed by all the donations we have received to go into the hampers for the elderly residents of Wem," said Sue.

"Thank you so much to everyone that has donated, including our local Co-op and a big thank you to Carol Roberts from Dedman stores for helping with the collections.

"We intend to make up small hampers to distribute to our clients to hopefully put a smile on their face and to let them know the lovely community of Wem are thinking about them.

"Thank you also to those of you that have made a cash donation, we are going to use this money to put an Easter egg in each hamper – you are all wonderful."
