DELIVERIES of prescriptions in Wem will take place once again after a number of volunteers stepped forward.

The Wem and Prees Medical Practice had been forced to stop delivery of prescriptions in late March, citing "logistical reasons", meaning they would have to be collected in person.

But the deliveries can now re-start, much to the delight of practice manager Caroline Morris.

"Because of the number of volunteers that have come forward and offered their time and transport we are now able to deliver prescriptions to as many people as possible," said Caroline.

"Staff will be calling beforehand to let you know our volunteers are on their way.

"Thank you to everyone for supporting us during this difficult time, it is really appreciated."

As well as receiving offers to deliver prescriptions, the medical practice has also been inundated with donated supplies, such as masks, seat covers and steering wheel covers.
