Police officers in Newtown sent home someone who lied about having groceries in the boot for a vulnerable family member.
Checks are being carried out in the town making sure people follow the government's new travel restrictions, which police have been able to enforce since Thursday.
Writing on Twitter, the Newtown Roads Policing Unit said: "Carrying out checks in Newtown. Number of people already turned around and told to go home. Lying you have groceries in your boot for your vulnerable family member that you didn’t even know the address for."
On Saturday, March 29, the Roads Policing Unit said that people are still travelling into Wales to go for bikes rides and other non-essential travel.
"Daily exercise should start from your home address. Yes it might not be a perfect setting, it’s for exercise not a view," a Tweet said.
