PARK View Business Centre, near Whitchurch, has introduced new initiatives to help deal with self-isolation.

The business centre now offers flexible working arrangements through its Desk-for-a-Day scheme.

On a limited number basis, individuals can be given access to a work station for one day at a time.

This enables people to access the superfast broadband connection that the business centre has invested in.

Many people have been asked to work from home, but if they have a poor internet connection, this is proving problematic.

The centre has up to 100Mbs broadband speeds for its tenants using the superfast fibre network and now the facility can be accessed on a more ad hoc basis.

This flexible system is providing people with another alternative way of remaining productive in their work away from their normal office.

Peter Beckett, managing director of Park View Business Centre said opening the scheme to everyone would allow people to continue working effectively.

“This concept was originally designed to appeal to freelancers," said Peter. "But it is now equally appropriate for those people unable to go to urban-based environments.

"It helps them avoid the interaction with commuters and other personnel in busy offices.

"The spaces are a great alternative for workers needing the tools they require to do their jobs, albeit on a temporary basis”.

The second initiative is coming from the on-site café at Park View Business Centre, where a free delivery service has been launched for items from their mid-week lunchtime menu.

Designed to help the older and most vulnerable members of society, the free delivery service entails taking prepared food to the door of residents living within three miles of the centre.

Orders can be made between 10am 2.30pm via the Park View Café website at www.parkviewcafe.uk or via the phone on 01948 302 150.
