A COMPANY which makes farming equipment has moved to assure its customers it will continue to operate during the coronavirus crisis.

Malpas Tractors Ltd, which is based in Wrexham, among other branches, released an update to inform customers – both established and new – on how they plan to operate during the COVID-19 outbreak.

The company has also moved to outline the precautions it will take to ensure they maintain their highest possible standards of cleanliness throughout the process.

"We would like to reassure all our customers, that Malpas Tractors will be remaining open for business and continuing to provide support for everyone in these challenging times," said a spokesman.

"From today we are proposing as follows: our service department will continue to operate with a high level of cleanliness when working on customers machines both in our workshops and on customers premises.

"Our technicians will only visit sites that we know to be safe and also will carry antibacterial products for their own use.

"Our parts departments are open as normal with increased hygiene levels and we would kindly ask our customers to follow the government guidelines on cleanliness when visiting our premises.

"We have antibacterial wipes/hand sanitisers on our counters. Until further notice our sales teams will visit customers by pre-arranged appointment only and are available by phone or email to assist with any requirements.

"We would also ask that any customers showing any symptoms of coronavirus please stay at home and contact us with your requirements – we are more than happy to deliver any parts free of charge to any customers that may be self isolating.

"We thank you for your support and cooperation in these challenging times."
