Friends and family of the much-loved Aaron Millington came together in his memory and to raise money on Sunday.

Aaron’s parents and close family were invited to the Archibald Worthington Club, in Castle Hill, for a night of darts and snooker competitions.

The evening was in aid of the Aaron Millington Trust.

Henry Wilson, secretary at the club, organised the event along with Amy Spragg and Hayley Griffiths, and said it was a night that honoured Aaron the right way.

“It was brilliant night and we raised £606,” said Henry, who thanked Amy and Hayley for their hard work.

“Aaron’s parents were there and they presented the trophies to the winners and runners-up of the darts and snooker competitions. His uncles and close friends were there too.

“They appreciated that so many people turned up to remember their son. We raised the money for the trust.

“When we talked about organising it, they said send the money there and we were more than happy to.

“Thanks to the committee too and to those who came.”
