Spring has sprung and the date for the 11th Wem Spring Market has been set.

The popular floral event, which also showcases a wide range of local food, drink and crafts available for sale from local and regional traders, will take place on Saturday, April 25.

And this year organisers, the Wem Combine Harvesters, are looking to expand their Green Market on Wem Jubilee Square – one of three markets taking place with the other two in the Town Hall and the Youth Club – and establish a ‘Green Trail’ linking traders in both the High Street and the market sites who are trying to be environment-friendly.

A call has already gone out to any traders who would be interested in getting involved.

To do so contact Shelagh Richardson from the Wem Combine Harvesters group by emailing wemharvest@yahoo.co.uk or call 01939 235443.

All profits from the market goes to the groups and their local projects.

The Wem Combine Harvesters group is made up of Wem Civic Society, Wem & District Gardening Club, and Incredible Edible in Wem.
