There will be a host of stars coming to Whitchurch's Civic Centre over Easter for a special two shows of a pantomime, including Kerry Katona.

The Wizard of Oz will be held on Friday, April 17, towards the end of the Easter holidays, and Zoë Dean, town centre manager, believes the show on offer from Anton Benson Productions is the latest high-quality offering to come to Whitchurch.

She is hoping that plenty will come to the Civic Centre to watch the cast, which also includes Barney Harwood, from the long-running BBC flagship show Blue Peter, who will play the Tin Man, and the great, unmatched Basil Brush, who will no doubt be up to some mischief.

She said: “We have been working with Anton Benson productions for two years now and they consistently bring high quality family-friendly entertainment to Whitchurch and a great selection of household names.

"Tickets are just £12 for adults and £11 for children and concessions, while a family ticket costs £42.

"We have two shows over the Easter holidays on Friday, April 17 at 2pm and 6pm.

"For tickets please contact the venue directly on 01948 665761 or visit www.ticketsource.co.uk/whitchurch-civic-centre.”

The cast for the show also includes X-Factor performer and CBBC star Lauren Platts as Dorothy, plus Ryan Greaves as the Scarecrow, Phylip Harries as the Cowardly Lion and Kate Salmon as Glynda.

Ms Katona will be playing the Wicked Witch of the West, and will be sure to put on a scary performance for young and old.
