A DRIVER, who was stopped by police in Poole, has been given six points and a £300 fine for driving without insurance.
Dorset Police No Excuse team pulled over a Toyota van near the Nuffield Industrial Estate.
When asked why he had no insurance, the driver said he wasn’t sure and when asked about the payments, he said “always make sure I’ve got insurance”.
After a call to the insurance company, it was confirmed that the policy was cancelled in December due to non-payment.
