THE FIRE service was called help a man stranded in flood water in Bangor-on-Dee.
North Wales Fire and Rescue Service said it was called the incident at 1pm on Wednesday.
However, upon arrival it became apparent to firecrews that the man had managed to escape the flooding.
On Monday, the Leader published shocking pictures of a motorcyclist clinging on to a hedge as he waited to be rescued from the high waters.
The area continues to be devastated by flooding following both Storm Ciara and Storm Dennis, and the A525 out of the village remains closed.
