THE Environment Agency (EA) has issued flood warnings for the River Dee and the River Tern.

In Farndon, the EA have issued a red flood warning, meaning flooding is expected and immediate action is required.

The EA say river levels remain high but steady at Farndon and consequently, there is a possibility of flooding for properties.

Further light rainfall is forecast over the next few days but no further flood risk impacts are expected as a result.

The EA also expect river levels to remain high over the coming days.

Meanwhile along the river Tern, which includes Wem, there is a yellow flood warning, meaning flooding is possible.

As a result of heavy rainfall on Sunday night, flooding is continuing to affect low lying land and roads adjacent to the river.

Locations that may be affected include Wem, Market Drayton and Rodington.

Further heavy rainfall is forecast over the next 48 hours which may cause river levels to rise further.
