FIREFIGHTERS from Wem were called out to a chimney fire in Loppington early on Monday morning.
One crew was sent from Wem to the village shortly before 9am where they found a blaze within a chimney breast above an open fire.
The chimney was unswept and had been blocked by birds nests.
Firefighters used chimney rods, one hosereel jet, small gear, a stirrup pump and a thermal imaging camera to extinguish the blaze.
It is not known how long they spent on scene.
