PLANS for a new takeaway in Ellesmere have been dashed after councillors rejected a change of use proposal.
The proposed takeaway would have been at 32 Scotland Street, which was until recently used as a convenience store.
Plans for the takeaway would have involved completely refitting the interior, as well as installing an extractor fan on the exterior.
At Ellesmere Town Council on Monday, February 3, councillors discussed the application, eventually rejecting it on the basis that the establishment would be in conflict with the local conservation area.
