Round 11 of the Whitchurch Monday Night Darts League once again proved to be a good night for the top four teams.

Second placed Crown were the only team to drop a game with Whitchurch Alport's Mark Sumner claiming a solitary win in their 7-1 defeat at home to the Malpas side.

League leaders Bulls Head B enjoyed an 8-0 win away at a spirited Archibald Worthington Club with Andy Evans pitching a 17 dart singles leg, including a 180.

This was before teaming up with Che Kerin in the pairs, with both players firing maximums as Andy Checked out on 138 to complete a 21 dart 701 leg.

Archie's Greg Edwards could consider himself unlucky not to take out 157, wiring double top after nailing both treble 20 and treble 19.

Cock and Greyhound A remain third following a comfortable 8-0 home win over Bulls Head A, with Scot Pitchford's 15 dart leg that featured a maximum, while team mate Danny Humphries fired both 18 and 19 dart legs.

There was a similar setback for bottom placed Bulls Head C, who fell to 8-0 defeat at home to fourth placed Bridge who haven't dropped a game since their first game of the year.

Bridge's Rob Barrie's 120 checkout proved decisive against Bulls Head's Nathan McGuiness who secured his team's only leg.

The match of the night came in Ash where the Cock and Greyhound B pushed hosts White Lion all the way before the home side finally emerged 6-2 winners.

Cock and Greyhound's James Haley won their only singles match before doubling his tally by winning his pairs, but it wasn't enough to stop the White Lion recording their first win in five games.

That win sees them move up one place to sixth overall at the expense of the Eagles who had no game.

Finally, its less than a month to the prestigious fifth Shropshire county cup which is being held in Whitchurch at the Hill Valley golf club on Saturday, March 7.
