ELLESMERE Town Council will meet on Monday to discuss a planning application for 99 houses in the town.

A planning application has been submitted for the proposed development of 99 houses including associated access via Canal Way and the town council will receive a verbal report from councillors Geoff Elner and Ryan Hartley following a meeting they attended on Wednesday, January 29 with ERPC and Shropshire Council representatives.

The town council will also discuss other planning applications, including the creation of a monolith to height of six metres within Ellesmere's Cremorne Gardens.

Councillors will also hear an update from the Cemetery Working Group, as well as hearing the town clerk's report.

The town council will then discuss the Birch Road Local Nature Reserve Application and declare that councillors approve of the revised area becoming a Local Nature Reserve.

A report from the recent play area inspection will be discussed and correspondence from a Grange Road resident regarding the recent speed monitoring.

Councillors will then consider making suggestions for improvements to the town's bus services, in regards to the Shropshire Wide Bus Upgrade Project.

Finally, councillors wil receive a verbal report from Cllr Ben Reincke regarding the Town Council Vision workshops, as well as verbal reports from the council’s representatives to other bodies, before discussing the dates for future meetings.

The meeting will be held at 7.15pm in the town hall.
