ENVIRONMENTALLY concious homeowners have been learning how to craft new pieces of furniture at a wood workshop.
Create for Nature is a Cheshire Wildlife Trust project based at the Trust's wood workshop at Bickley Hall Farm, near Malpas.
The project is a sustainability and social engagement initiative where, with the help of volunteers the Trust transform landfill and commercial waste wood into beautiful bespoke creations while providing a social hub for the local community.
Rosie Mason, engagement administrator for the Trust, said: "Sustainability is a growing concern for most people and the project has seen an increase in people looking for more eco-friendly options for their homes, workplaces and even for their weddings.
"As well as our weekly volunteer groups we have a number of courses throughout the year where people can come and learn the skills needed to turn scrap wood into a bespoke piece of furniture."
