AUDLEM Cricket Club will be plying their trade at different grounds this year, after transferring leagues.

After many seasons playing Saturday cricket in the Cheshire Leagues it has been decided at the club's recent AGM that a change of direction was needed.

The club have now joined the North Staffs and South Cheshire Cricket League and start life at the bottom of the pyramid in Division 8 but welcome the prospect of much more local cricket with a number of interesting local derbies on offer.

Last season the club had a full fixture list of Sunday friendlies against clubs from far and near which proved to be a great success with the main aim of ensuring everyone was given the opportunity to participate in the games no matter what their age or ability.

All the games were played in the correct spirit against like-minded teams and on many Sundays were over-subscribed with players keen to take part.

This season's fixtures are almost complete and will be published as soon as possible.
