A GIRL from Whitchurch has decided to do her bit for charity, by donating a length of her hair to the Little Princess Trust.
Ruby Forrester, a Year 9 pupil from Sir John Talbot's, received the hair cut for the charity, which specialises in making real hair wigs for children who have suffered their own hair loss through illness or other conditions.
The charity also fund vital research into childhood cancers and Ruby has also helped raise money for the cause.
Ruby’s friends, family and the community have got behind Ruby, resulting in her raising £180 for the charity.
She decided on helping out the Little Princess Trust as she wanted to make girls feel more confident while going through illness.
"I looked up various charities and donating to The Little Princess Trust seemed a very worthwhile cause," said Ruby. "I thought it would be nice to make girls going through illness feel a bit more confident."
Ruby and her family have also thanked all those who have generously donated and a spokesman for the school said "we are very proud of Ruby".
