A WOMAN has been taken to hospital following a collision on the A525 near Whitchurch.

The collision was reported at 8.19am on Tuesday, January 14, on a section of road near Broughall and involved two vehicles.

The fire service, ambulance service and police were all in attendance while the incident was dealt with, along with the air ambulance.

A spokesman for the West Midlands Ambulance Service confirmed that one woman had been sent to Royal Stoke Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

A man was also treated at the scene for minor injuries.

The spokesman said: “We were called at 8.19am to a two car road traffic collision at the junction of the A525 and Shropshire Lane.

"We sent two ambulances, a paramedic officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford to the scene. On arrival, we found two patients.

"We treated a woman, who was the driver of one of the cars for injuries not believed to be life threatening.

"She was taken to Royal Stoke Hospital for further treatment.

"We also treated a man at the scene for minor injuries.”
