WHITCHURCH Library will play host to a 'Let's Do Business' event this week.

The session is being held in partnership with the Marches Growth Hub Shropshire and University Centre Shrewsbury and under the scheme, an expert team from the council's growth hub and partner organisations will offer advice and support to businesses and entrepreneurs looking to establish a new venture or grow an existing company.

The team will visit Whitchurch on Thursday, January 17 from 10am until 2pm and is free to drop in.

Anna Sadler, business growth hub officer, said: “The roadshow gives us the perfect opportunity to talk to businesses face-to-face about what sort of help and financial support is available to them and how easy it can be for them to access.”

Meanwhile, Nikki Ayton, Business Development Managers at the University Centre Shrewsbury, added: “We can support businesses to innovate using digital technology within their business processes or to develop new products and services.

"Although we can offer support to every sector, there is a particular emphasis on digital health.

"Libraries are a great venue to meet local businesses looking for funded support, which is free to the business, and we are very excited about the opportunity of working more closely with them to provide access to our ERDF funded Digital Solutions project.

“Eligible businesses based in Shropshire and Telford and Wrekin can benefit from these collaborations.

"We’re looking forward to the next one.”
