A VACANCY is open for a new town councillor in Whitchurch.

The full council typically meet once a month in the Edward German suite of Whitchurch Civic Centre, as well as for various other committee meetings and working groups.

Potential applicants must live within three miles of Whitchurch and councillors are expected to prepare for and attend full council meetings once a month.

Councillor Harvey Vasey, who joined the town council in 2018 said: “We have lots of projects for members to become involved with including a new film group and plans to improve the Civic Centre, as well as lots of great shows and productions where we always welcome volunteer stewards.

“This is a really exciting time to become a councillor.”

Mayor of Whitchurch, Cllr Bev Duffy, added: “This is your chance to make a difference in your community.

“Why don’t you stand for Whitchurch Town Council and see what positive changes you can make to our town?”
