AN INQUEST has been opened into the death of a man in Wem
Richard Downes, 35, originally from Shrewsbury but of no fixed abode died on the morning of Monday, December 30.
At the inquest opening, which took place at Shirehall in Shrewsbury on January 8, coroner John Ellery heard how at around 6.30am emergency services were called following concerns to the welfare of a man.
Mr Downes was found outside the Co-op in Wem, and was attended to by members of the emergency services, but was pronounced dead at 6.50am.
Mr Ellery adjourned the full inquest until April 8 at Shirehall in Shrewsbury.
