FIREFIGHTERS from Prees, Audlem and Oswestry have been helping tackle a barn fire in Market Drayton.
The fire was reported at 5.49am on Friday, January 3 and involved a small quantity of straw at a farm in Adderley Road.
Fire fighters from Markey Drayton and Hodnet were also in attendance, as well an operations officer.
To tackle the fire, crews used breathing apparatus, a covering jet and a hosereel jet and a member of West Midlands Ambulance Service was also on scene to check five adults for smoke inhalation.
Seven calves were also rescued from the blaze, which was extinguished by 6.18am.
