AS THE Whitchurch Monday Night Winter Darts League enters the festive period, Bulls Head B sit top, four points ahead of the Crown in Malpas.

The league leaders ensured their position at the top after enjoying a 6-2 away at third placed Bridge Inn in Audlem.

Pete Warburton, landlord of the Bulls Head stole the show firing his first ever competitive maximum as the Bulls Head B unbeaten start to the season continues.

Second placed Crown meanwhile enjoyed a 8-0 win at the Cock and Greyhound B, which saw Rowan Price fire his seventh maximum of the season

Cock and Greyhound A remain fourth despite their game with fifth placed Whitchurch Alport FC being cancelled.

The mid table battle between the Eagles and White Lion in Ash ended all square and the Archibald Worthington Club recorded just their second win of the season edging out Bulls Head A 5-3.

At the other end of the table Bulls Head C remain rooted at the bottom awaiting their first points of the season after the A side completed an 8-0 rout to pull four points clear.

Sandwiched in between both Bulls Head sides are the Cock and Greyhound B who currently have two points.

The league's Christmas knockout was held at the Bulls Head where a well attended event saw Rowan Price overcome team mate Keith Jones in the final.

Following the festive break, the league resumes on Monday, January 13.
