A MAN has been found dead in Wem following reports of a cardiac arrest.
West Mercia Police were called at around 6.25am on Monday, December 30 to High Street in Wem after concerns for a man were raised.
Police officers attended the scene but the man had already died.
A spokesman for West Mercia Police said the death was not being treated as suspicious and his next of kin and the coroner have been informed.
Meanwhile a spokesman for the Midlands Ambulance Service added: "We were called to reports of a cardiac arrest near the Co-Op in High Street in Wem at 6.26am this morning.
"Two ambulances and a paramedic officer attended the scene.
"Sadly nothing could be done to save the man and he was confirmed dead on scene."
