FIREFIGHTERS were called out to a chimney fire near Malpas on Wednesday evening.
The fire was at a property in Parr Green lane in Horton Green and the report was received at around 9pm.
One fire engine attended from Malpas and crews tackled the fire which was well alight from the chimney pot.
They used a ladder to gain access to the roof to put out the fire then used a thermal imaging camera to check for hotspots.
