CHILDREN from St Paul's VA Primary and Borderbrook VC Primary School (The Maelor Church Schools Federation) came together to take part in the first Journey Day.
Emma Jones, acting headteacher, said: "We have been developing our school vision, 'Together with God, we live, love and learn' by working with our friends to understand the Christmas story in greater depth.
"It was a fun filled day of craft, baking, developing our wellbeing by making new friends and understanding Advent and the story of the birth of Jesus."
Ms Jones added it was a good chance to get the two schools, which share a head teacher, together and integrate together.
Speaking with the children afterwards, she said they have loved taking part in the day and loved having the experience of having the two schools come together and make new friends whilst learning.
