The Hollies Tennis Club in Whitchurch have held their annual general meeting.

The meeting was well attended and Claire Snaith was welcomed on to the committee.

Claire joined the club as a junior following in her parent's footsteps, Andrew and Jackie Dawson who were valued members of the Club.

Claire was the youngest holder of the Ladies Singles title at the age of 16 years old and after a break, returned and soon regained her title, this year winning the Ladies Singles and Doubles and the Steve Egerton Memorial Mixed Doubles Cup, with Simon Bate.

The highlight of the evening was the presentation of The A J Reid Veterans Trophy by Alison Reid.

The tournament runs throughout the season and was devised by Alan Scutt.

The veteran members play mixed doubles and men's and ladies doubles, changing partners for each match.

The points are totalled at the end of the tournament and the winners this year were Anthony Goodwin and Clare Ruffell.
