An ELLESMERE College student has continued his shooting success after picking up a bronze medal for the Great Britain Rifle Talent Squad recently.
Toby Baillon, who joined Ellesmere College’s Sixth Form in September, finished in third place at the International Welsh Airgun Championships 10m Junior Men’s Air Rifle category.
The event was held in the Sport Wales National Centre, after Toby picked up a new personal best of 581.8 in the qualification stage.
During the Finals, Toby was able to show his incredible attitude and resilience as, despite nearing the fourth-place elimination spot, he battled his way into third place and earned the bronze medal by a tight 2.2 points.
The Sixth Form student thanked staff at the college for their help leading up to his medal-winning performance.
Before joining Ellesmere College, Toby represented Jersey in the International Island Games where he won a gold medal in the Pairs 3-Position.
He then flew off to Germany in order to shoot for Great Britain in the Junior World Championships.
