A PAMPER and shopping night will be held this Friday to raise money for a children’s ambulance charity.

Kate Buxton is holding the evening in aid of charity KIDS, who provide a specialist ambulance for children in the midlands and the north west.

The evening will feature various beauty treatments, including skin care treatments from Atomic Kitten singer Natasha Hamilton, as well as various boutique gifts for sale.

Kate raises money for the charity every year, after her daughter Grace, who is four, went into respiratory arrest when she was 10 months old and was taken to hospital by the KIDS ambulance, having to be resuscitated more than once on the way.

Since then Grace has gone on to make a strong recovery, but Kate continues to give something back.

“Each year we try to raise some money to support this amazing cause as a thank you for saving our Grace,” said Kate.

“They currently only have funding to have one ambulance with one team on call at a time.

“In short, hospitals with a critically ill child call them for advice on how to keep the child stable, long enough for the team to arrive, administer care so that the child is stable enough to be ambulanced to a specialist hospital.”

Tickets to the evening cost £5, and can be bought from Kate on 07545 043573.
