MEMBERS of Whitchurch Rotary Club have provided a cheque for £3,000 to enable to continued running of a charitable service.
Last Friday the Rotary Club visited the home of Aquabox, a charity which specialises in making sure disaster-hit areas of the world have access to clean drinking water.
The boxes pump dirty water through a simple pump and clean drinking water fit for use comes out.
Rotarian Tom Kelly was the main fundraiser by hitchhiking back from Scotland, meeting many characters on the way.
Thanks to his efforts, the club were able to hand over a cheque for £3,000 to Aquabox, to enable this valuable service to continue.
