THE Children in Need Rickshaw Challenge will travel through Malpas next week on its journey across the country.

The challenge will see a team of six young people and The One Show’s Matt Baker, take on an eight-day challenge to cycle 400 miles from Holyhead to London.

This year’s route will see the team ride to Flash, the highest village in the UK, and tackle the steepest street in the world in Harlech, Wales.

And on day four of the challenge, which kicks off on Friday, November 8, the riders will travel from Oswestry to Crewe, visiting Overton, Bangor and Malpas on the way.

The six riders joining Matt – Adelle, Emma, Josh, Kelsey, Thomas and Uche – are all incredible young people who are blind or are recovering from cancer, and for this year the Hunter Foundation has pledged to give 40p for every £1 donated by the general public to the challenge, helping to make the public’s donations go even further in making a difference to young lives.

After leaving Crewe, the Rickshaw Challenge team will then travel through the East Midlands, before arriving in London in time for Children in Need on Friday, November 15.
