CLASSIC car fans from Whitchurch and beyond gathered at Alderford Lake earlier this month to enjoy some vintage motors and a bacon sandwich.

The event is held regularly throughout the year and always brings in a range of exciting and interesting cars from the past.

October’s event was no different, with British sports cars, to European hot hatches and autobahn cruisers all making an appearance.

Classic car rallies such as this are always a big hit, with enthusiasts jumping at any chance to show off their exquisitely-maintained rides.

Arguably one of the stars of the show, a 1930 Austin 7 was in attendance, as driven by Geoff Bebbington. The car was one of the UK’s first mass produced cars and one of the first to see the ‘conventional’ steering arrangement we would recognise today.

Fortunately for those in attendance, the weather remained clear unlike in previous events.

This month’s event will likely be the last of the year, before the event returns in early 2020.
