A NURSERY based near Malpas has had its Ofsted grading upgraded to 'good' following a reinspection.
In March of this year Bradley Barns Nursery was visited by an inspector from Ofsted, who graded the nursery as 'requiring improvement'.
Staff at the nursery were unhappy with the grading as they and felt the inspector did not fulfil her duties on the day.
Ofsted agreed with the views of the nursery staff and last month reinspected the nursery.
As a result of the reinspection, the nursery has been regraded as 'good', something Vicky Hollins, owner of Bradley Barns is happy with.
"We were delighted to receive a ‘Good’ grading following on from our previous inspection of 'Requires Improvement'," said Vicky.
"We were extremely disappointed to get this grading on our first Ofsted visit and felt that the inspector did not fulfil her duties on the day.
"We duly complained knowing that this did not reflect all of our hard work and efforts.
"Our complaint was upheld and were we therefore able to be re-inspected within a six month time frame.
"In light of the vindication of our decision to complain and the subsequent success of the grading under the new, tougher framework, we feel that this is a really good reason to celebrate our grading and let the wider public know what a great service we have to offer."
